Hakkoh Dolphin Brand Knives

KyaraJack | Nov 18, 201411:45 AM     15

Hi all,
I'm looking for Hakkoh brand knives. When I moved out to go to university, my dad sent me off with a Hakkoh knife. There is a little dolphin stamped on the blade and I was told that it was a Japanese brand. My best description of it is an elongated nakiri knife. I've attached a photo. The wooden spoon is for scale and about 30cm or one foot long.
In the past two years, I have absolutely fallen in love with it, and I'm currently looking to add a good paring knife and perhaps a santoku to add to my collection. I love the thinness of the blade, how long it stays sharp, and the beautiful workmanship. I have been looking for Hakkoh knives online, but to no avail. There is barely anything about the brand, and I'm wondering if it changed names or is just completely defunct.
If anyone has any idea where I can get one (in Ontario or purchased online and shipped to Ontario), please let me know!
Thanks in advance everyone!
