I was just reading the comments on Dragon River on Geary and seems like the food gets mixed reviews. Are there any other restaurants in SF that serve more consistent Hakka food?
I was also wondering, has anyone ever seen on the menu a dish in english called, Abacus seeds? They're like little discs made of taro flour (shaped like the beads on an abacus), and stirfried with dried shrimp, pork, mushrooms, and green onions. A very traditional Hakka dish my grandmother used to make, and I miss it!
