After several previous nominations Chef Paul Kahan of Blackbird Restaurant has scored the coveted James Beard award for "Best Midwest Chef".

Paul's straight forward, elemental, ingredient driven cuisine has garnered many positive reviews on both chowhound and with the local & National press.

Paul seeks out the finest, local and seasonal goods for the deceptively simple and tasty dishes served at Blackbird.
