Haig's Delicacies for Falafel

Samo | Jan 25, 200211:48 AM

Though a discussion of September 2000 praised Haig's, no mention was made of the peerless falafel sold at the deli counter. The old, bald owner is a darling, while the younger (his son, I reckon) is a turd. I have never had a falafel sandwich that came close: it's the large volume of marvelous tahini sauce, the relatively small volume of vegetables and the very good falafel. On the north side of Clement Street, between 8th and 7th Avenues.
