Hi all --
I'm putting together a dinner for a bunch of people I work with; we do this about twice a year and like to go somewhere fun that has good drinks (as well as great food) and an upbeat atmosphere. (I.e., neither a romantic setting nor lack of noise is the first priority.) We have 12-16 people. . . in the past, have been to Alma, Blowfish Sushi, Andalu and Slanted Door, all with success (though some were not as enamored of the small plates at Andalu because they wanted higher volume of food -- so we just kept ordering). This fall, I'm looking at Habana (on Van Ness), Tallula (Castro) and Last Supper Club (Mission). Does anyone have any thoughts on how the three of these compare in terms of good food and/or how well each would work with such a big group in a festive mood (on a Tuesday night, no less)? Other ideas and recommendations welcome, but we do need to be in the city of SF. Thanks for all the helpful past posts about Habana, by the way.
