Haandi on Lexington Avenue, Just so so place

vegiefudie | Nov 7, 201103:09 PM

Only "Indian" restaurant open at 11.30am on Sunday (Except Saravana Bhavan) Food is cheap, $7 for
veggie platter (Pick and choose 2 different dishes, small portions, rice and dal with Naan and small salad) but so is the taste. I didn't find it great, just so so. If you are starving and just want to fill it up for cheap, fine place. Be ready to eat with loud Pakistanis and really loud TV set. Better go and sit downstairs than on entry floor.
One thing that I liked was Mango Lassi, wow that was great. It made me feel super full. If I ever go there, I will go for Lassi, not for food.

I am posting review here as Chow couldn't let me post it on the restaurant page. If anyone knows how it works, please copy paste there. Thanks in advance.
