Gus's Barbecue South Pasadena Revisited

I always forget how much I like this friendly, old fashioned place. The barbecue is not that exciting but all of the side dishes-slaw, carrot salad etc. are homemade and taste fresh. Also, thumbs up for a nice fluffy baked potato. They have tasty soups and good Greek style chicken. It has a great red vinyl booth atmosphere and when we were there last night our waitress sat down with a couple in their booth and chatted for a few moments. Another nice thing is that that they have an extensive menu for both seniors and kids which is most clever. I wish other restaurants would do this. And the nice stiff drinks from the bar certainly make the presence of anyone ordering from the senior/kid menu way more tolerable.
