The root beer float for grown-ups, a Guinness float brings the creamy sweetness of vanilla ice cream together with the rich, roasty flavor of stout. The result is a multilayered and complex drink that plays bitter against sweet, cold against hot, and vanilla against chocolate.
Since Guinness from a bottle or can sacrifices much compared to draft Guinness, homemade Guinness floats suffer too.
So does anyone know of a place that has these on the menu? Or has Guinness (or another stout) on tap and vanilla ice cream in the freezer, plus a competent bartender willing to make oddball concoctions?
