alrite...so i know im searching for a needle in haystack, but a couple years back (before i actually lived in the city) i read in the times about a restaurant in either east vill or LES that was a molecular gastronomy "bar", describing themselves as "guerrilla gastronomy". A small place maybe 12-16 seats everything was cooked in the bar area using home toaster ovens, homemade smokers, etc. Not of the WD-50 style, it was somewhat of an raw bar with some crazy techniques on other menu items. It was the chef and an actual bartender everything was cooked in front of you. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER ANYTHING LIKE THIS, NOT EVEN SURE IF IT STILLL EXISTS. HOUNDS HELP ME OUT??????
