Gueleguetza discovery

Just Larry | Nov 22, 2004 12:02 AM

Went to Gueleguetza in Palms on Saturday and noticed something on the menu that I failed to see my previous upteen time eating there. They are called Memelas. It is a thick fresh made tortilla topped with black bean paste and cheese with a choice of meat topping. I had Cecina and Chorizo. It had all the enjoyment of a fresh made taco that you can eat with a fork and knife. It was not served with a mole sauce and I didn't miss it ...this time. I can only guess how good they would be if I order a side of Negro or Coloradito. I love the thrill of the hunt.
