I wrote about breakfast at Nais, a local chain. It was ok and the coffee was good.
However, this location has a 128 foot aquarium which holds 30, 000 gallons of salt water and on-site marine biologists to care for it. It runs the length of the restaurant and is flanked by a bar, multi-level dining room and larger main dining room. The over 450 fish include 38 species from around the world. There are more details in the link above.
Amazingly, this can be both a great place to either take a date or the kids. It is open late and there is a bar area on one end of the aquarium. It can be romantic, with the low lights and background of fascinating fish in brilliant tropical colors doing water ballets as they gracefully glide by.
I just planned to stop for a drink later with a friend to show him the fishies, but Café Saul wasn’t open yet, so we had breakfast at Nais. They now have a breakfast buffet and it wasn’t bad.
