Guatemala City: Gourmet Center – Chinese sausage, pannetone, soju, wine, spices, Kosher, gluten-free food and Turkish delight

Specialty food shops mostly occupy the Gourmet Center in the upscale Zona Viva.

Stores include a number of ethnic groceries, an ice cream shop, some health food stores, a chain bakery, a cheese counter, a fast food Italian restaurant and a wine shop. At the newsstand, which has a few English language magazines, there are fancy French cigarettes for sale. The mall is anchored by three chain restaurants – Capistrano, Café Barista and Sarita. There is also a dining area in the food court.

The best, IMO, is SUPERB ESPECIAS. Here’s a separate report for that since I thought it was special enough to merit its own post

Some nice photos from the company that is the developer of Gourmet Center and other malls.
