Would someone please educate me about guaje? Is it used like a vegetable or like an herb/spice? How is it cooked or prepared? What sorts of foods is it used in or paired with?
I often see bundles of the pods (maybe 20-50 pods per bundle) at Mexican markets but I have never run accross it mentioned in any of my Mexican cookbook resources (although the books I currently have are likely quite gringo-ized).
