Snow and cold mean my Gruyere addiction kicks in: Mac & Cheese, French Onion Soup and Gratins. I'm no cheese expert and the packages are not well-marked, so it's tough to Wiki the choices. But I defaulted into paying Lunds' $19.99 price per pound during the storm. [Good, but I couldn't tell what I was buying because the wedge didn't come with any rind.]
I've had Trader Joe's, which is good (and much cheaper but I cannot remember the price, and Bill's Imported Foods, ditto (and ditto).
Where's the best place to buy this cheese and why?
[FYI, I'm not a fan of cave-aged Gruyeres.]
