*****Gruener Veltliner and Hong Kong Seafood Chowdown Update****

Victoria Libin and Melanie Wong | May 27, 200306:09 PM

Since we had enough intitial interest this dinner will happen on June 10, 2003 at 7:30 pm. The restaurant is in Millbrae and of Melanie's selection. We have a few spots left so please email me if you are interested. The cost for food and corkage will be approximately $50 per person. The exact GV wines to be served and cost of wines are still to be determined. We recommend that each person bring two or more wine glasses with them.

There will be no sharks fin soup or sea cucumber served per popular request. The menu* is as follows:

House special cold appetizers
Sauteed sugar snap peas with fresh scallop and dried conch
Crispy fried milk with crystal prawns
Geoduck clams cooked two ways:
Sauteed with vegetables
Salt and pepper style clam bellies with crispy tofu cubes
Roasted chicken
Braised sliced fresh abalone and black mushrooms with tender greens
Baked lobster with ginger and green onion
Smoked filet of black cod
Braised yee-fu noodles
Dessert of the day

*The menu may change to meet our collective high standards of quality and freshness.

As usual we will pass a donations envelope to benefit Chowhound.
