I had heard some recent grapevine about Growlers Beer Bistro in Tuckahoe so I stopped down for happy hour. It is under new ownership and the menu has been updated, too. Still a great selection of craft beers here: had a glass of Mikkeller IPA out of Astoria, Queens, and it was outstanding. As was my order of Chicken Satay. Delicious down to the last bite! Even as an appetizer, it was easily sharable.
Then I noticed Chef Brian MacMenamin pop out of the kitchen. Was wondering where he ended up. I still remember some of the great flavors coming out of his kitchens over the years. Will be back...www.growlersbeerbistro.com
