The Grove Fillmore/SF

Celery | Apr 22, 200209:47 AM

There's a newish spot on Fillmore next to Brown Bag called The Grove Fillmore. It's kind of an expanded coffee shop (a la Royal Ground-type of coffee shop - not diner-coffee-shop) serving up breakfast, sandwiches, salads, and a few entrees like macaroni & cheese, shepherd's pie, chicken pot pie.

It's open all day (good spot for film fest-goers - you can get a quick meal between those 4pm and 7 pm shows!)

Had an early dinner there yday and while it's not a destination spot, it's a nice addition to the options on Fillmore Street.

The salad was pretty good, the mac & cheese and shepherd's pies were tasty (both needed a bit of salt but other than that were good). A great huckleberry pie and they also serve Meetinghouse ice cream (didn't try that). Wine by the glass and bottle and beer on tap.

Prices are in the $7 range for the sandwiches and entrees.
