Group for Lunch at Yasuda

So I want to go with a small group to Yasuda for lunch to celebrate our office moving to the city in about a week. The last time I tried to make a reservation (for dinner), I was told they don't take larger than parties of 6. This inability to make a reservation for a large group made me think maybe I am better off walking in with the group and letting us be split up.

Is a reservation necessary or perhaps just highly advisable for lunch? I hesitate to make a reservation because I am not sure how many people will be coming... I understand that it would be rude to come with more people than I told them would be coming so am I better off just walking in without a reservation or is that just crazytalk?
