I bought some ground chicken yesterday, but won't be able to use it until at least tomorrow, and I'm not sure if it'll last that long. So I guess my first question is, how long does raw ground chicken last? I think it's pretty fresh, it was bought at a place that grinds their own meat, and likely was ground yesterday, though I can't be positive.
If I make the chicken into burgers today and freeze them, do you think the results will be OK? Should they be completely defrosted before cooking? (I'd rather not freeze the meat untouched, as I'd like to use it during the week and I'd prefer it to be as eating-ready as possible!)
I rarely freeze meat, and almost never buy ground meat, so I appreciate any advice. Thanks!
