Grocery Outlet, August 2017

I actually haven't been to GO yet this month, but I just cracked open a melon I bought at the Oakland GO recently and thought I'd post a BOLO (Be On the Look Out). It's a variety of melon I've never seen before called a Lemon drop. MORE info:
It really does have a lemony tang that appeals to me, especially since I'm not a fan of the muskier melons, nor of cloyingly sweet ones.

Buying produce at Grocery Outlet can be iffy, since it's all prepackaged. In particular I check onions and potatoes, since they are often mushy or moldy. But I do find that seasonal melons and berries in the summer can be really good; presumably they are getting good deals because there's a glut, not because some one is offloading stuff that's past it's peak. I'm still hoping the seeded watermelons show up this year.
