Can someone recommend a spice grinder that would work well to powderize thyme? I tried a nice burr grinder for coffee, which I thought would make short work of it, but many of the thin hard needles get through the grinder intact. Maybe my grinder is too old. I then switched to a grinder that uses a rotating set of four blunt stainless blades. That takes forever and still does not completely powderize the thyme. Mortar and pestle might be too much work.
I would be okay with using a manually turned burr grinder as long as the grind was complete.. What are my best options for this?
