After reading so many reviews on the pizza I knew that I had to try this place on my visit to NY. Crossed over to Brooklyn so excited and walked in and was instantly taken aback. Certainly an adorable restaurant but evey pizza that I saw on the tables looked so over cooked that I was quite appprehensive. Of course I still took the chance and sat down for dinner. When the pizza came there were spots on the outer crust, bottom and even the cheese that were black. Everyone else in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying there well done pies so I dug in only to find that it was certainly flavorful...but the toppings stopped a couple of inches from the crust so I had merely a few yummy bites and then alot of blackened crust that I could not find enjoyment in. My question is..am I the only one who didn't enjoy Grimaldis??? On an afterthought... thank you Jacques Torres for making the trip well worth it.. I am still dreming of that hot chocolate!!
