Grilling corn report

Last night we had the best corn on the cob on the grill, and we soaked it in salt water for the hour or so between grocery and grill. I figured cold water would help keep the sugar in the corn from turning to starch.

I de-silked it but left on the husk, soaked it, and grilled it husk on . .. and was finally able to get a streak or two of char going without overcooking it. I hate overcooked corn, and have had it too many times from my very reliable grill master S.O. Some of the inner leaves were a little steamy/damp and the outer leaves were burnt black.

Just thought I'd add my 2 cents to the soak/not soak grilling brain trust...
