Grilling Chicken, logistical questions

I'm making a simple dinner for 7 friends. I've decided on pasta (small rotelle, corkscrew, springs, or whatever they're more appropriately called) with 3 types of sauces (all store bought, pls. don't shoot me): basic marinara (in a can from trader joe's), vodka marinara (in a jar, also from tj's), and creamy artichoke pesto (from tj's frig. section).

I'm going to be making this dinner at my friends house. I'll have access to a full kitchen and a habachi (sp?). I was thinking about grilling some chicken on the habachi to top the pasta. I seem to remember that grilling chicken seems to take forever (relatively speaking, of course). How long will this take?

I'm planning on picking up a big bag of mixed greens and La Brea Bakery's rosemary olive oil bread, both from Costco.

Any other suggestions about dinner? Remember, I'm trying to keep it somewhat simple. I love to cook, but I don't get much opportunity to.

Thank you,

P.S. This site is great. I get tons of helpful advice and the opportunity to vicariously enjoy dining experiences other posters have written up.
