To Grill a Whole Turkey?

JTPhilly | Apr 18, 201412:30 PM

Soooo I have had this frozen bird in the freezer (now defrosted) and have decided no time is better than the present to have Thanksgiving dinner - (Tomorrow) with my good friend in town I am thankful for this happy return. The weather will be nice and it would be fun to grill the bird - I have a basic weber kettle with its legs removed serving as a fire pit (I also have a gas grill but I would rather use the weber)

Am I crazy?

Do I want to butcher it into pieces or grill it whole?

Direct or pile the coals to the side and "smoke" it?

Breast up or down?

Or should I just put it in the oven and be done with it?
