Grill 73 returns

After what seemed like a new restaurant opened each month in the old Grill 73 space in Downtown Bernardsville - G73 has re-emerged and is back with one of the best BYO's in central NJ.

The old familiar bar/counter is gone and a TV added to the front room but the new digs are just as comfortable and seem almost as familiar as the old haunt. The menu is new packed with pasat, fish, meat and fresh salads.

We started with some very fresh homemade guacomole with fried pita chips, the chips were crisp and the Guac cold and refreshing. I followed with a house salad that had candied walnuts and a light vinagrette, my dining companions the eggplant rollatinni, a penne special with chooped tomatoes and onions that was being raved over and a potatoe leek soup.

Dinner brought fresh salmon, a tofu veggie entree and more pasta that was consumed with much gusto. The service was unobtrusive, everything arrived in perfect order and in a timely manner. a sticky an dsweet tarte tatin was shared by the four of us and finished out our meal.

Dinner for 4 was $160 plus tip, a go to option in Bernardsville is back!
