Restaurants & Bars

Greenport Blue Canoe

Blue Canoe just replaced Chowder Pot Pub, a favorite waterfront restaurants on the No Fork.
It was a lovely day for Al Fresco dining so we took a motorcycle ride out yesterday. It was great. Great service, nice vibe, interesting menu and a location to die for.
The new owners also have a restaurant on Shelter Island so they know what they are doing.
There is a nice outdoor "lounge" area for those who just want a drink and appetizer. Plenty of comfortable seating out on the deck for lunch and dinner. Nice looking bar area insidetoo. Everything looked good. Sushi rolls, raw bar and interesting offerings on the menu.
I had the lobster bruschetta which was tasty, chunky lobster salad served open face on a nice slice of bread with some excellent onion rings.
My beautiful wife got the oyster Po Boy which she enjoyed even though it was on sliced bread and not hero bread. She is from N.O.L.A. and is very particular about her Po Boys.
Check it out while the weather is still nice.
Greenport is hopping this time of year.
