What's the green vegetable in this poriyal?

Yesterday I had a delicious poriyal as part of an Andrha thali lunch in Silicon Valley. I asked my server what the green vegetable was. He said someone else had asked too and he'd get back to us. Later he said it was called "see-qua" (that's what it sounded like to me) and that it was very long and thin.

This had a ridged, dark green skin not unlike Chinese okra (loofah) and a tender gray-white flesh. It seemed like a stem of some kind. The taste was quite sweet and green pea-like. The fresh flavor showed off very well in this simple combination with coconut and yellow lentils.

I've had drumsticks (Moringa Oleifera) before in sambar, but couldn't really make out the flavor before enough to recognize it. Is that a possibility?
