Green Produce Bags

Lindsay B. | Apr 10, 2004 12:15 PM

I'm looking for the kind of produce-preserving bags that I used to buy at Whole Foods in Boston. I forget the brand name. The bags I'm thinking of are bright green with tiny perforations. You use them to store vegetables and fruit in the refrigerator. They perforations act as a one-way valve to release ethylene produced by ripening fruit.

Has anyone seen these? Does the Whole Foods on 6th Avenue carry them? I'd like to find a source closer to Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, but I'm willing to travel for these.
