I've been out of town for a while, so if there's previously been mention of the new Green Olive in Federal Hill, my apologies.
I wonder what people think of this place.
I went there tonight and was quite disappointed.
They were out of several items on the menu. I was there fairly early, so I'm curious why this happened. I don't think it's a good sign of a well organized kitchen.
I found the food mediocre at best. I was especially disappointed in the grilled romaine and endive, which the City Paper's Richard Gorelick went gaga over. The lettuce seemed old and the dressing was too heavy. I am a big fan of grilled romaine, and this was the poorest I've ever had.
The only thing I liked was the white and chocolate mouse for dessert. But, oddly, it was one of but two dessert choices.
Any comments on this restautant from other Chowhounds?
