Green Mold on Hard Salami after Storing in Luggage

alittleghost | May 10, 201609:48 AM     1

I recently purchased a hard salami from Katz deli in NY to bring back to my family. The salami sat in my luggage wrapped up in butchers paper for over a week while I traveled. The weather was quite hot this entire time.

When my family opened it up a week later, the salami was covered in so much mold that the paper was dusty as we were opening it. Is it still safe to eat? What can I do to save it? The mold was all over the entire salami.
