Had lunch today at Green Chile Kitchen in San Rafael, first time in a long time. I had their Red Chile Chicken Posole, with hominy, cilantro & onion, lettuce, and a sopapilla (instead of a tortilla). It was excellent, although I think I prefer their Green Chile Stew, but that's a preference and not a quality difference. I was very glad to see the sopapilla option, but did think it lacked some of the character of sopapillas in New Mexico; it almost seemed baked instead of fried. Nevertheless, very good food in a very attractive place with good service. And not crowded at lunch time.
