I just moved to De Pere(Green Bay metro) this week from Austin, TX. Below are a few reviews of places I have eaten at so far. If anyone knows of a vietnamese place within 30 miles of here please let me know. Otherwise me and the wife are going to have to learn to brew up some Pho ourselves.
- El Toro (Fine Southwestern Food), West De Pere downtown,,, ugh not even close to fine food. I *may* be biased on mexican food being from Austin but this place is simply serving a few items to balance out the bar as far as I can tell. Ordered fajitas since the menu was very limited. Tortillas were dry and cracking, my cell phone was bigger than the tiny piece of skirt steak(actually not sure of the cut), salsa had big pieces of onion and the chips kept breaking because of them. My waitress was OK but I noticed that she got the wrong drink order for the table next to me, she then offered them some free shots of liqour which is normally OK but they had a 2 yr old and an infant with them and that would be their 4th drink. Bout sums it up fer me.
- La Tapatio Family Restraunt, on Main in East Green Bay - Wow, excellent salsa, ordered the chicken enchilada dinner, chicken was cubed instead of shredded but it had great flavor. Dos Equis available, good service, well lit, good cheap food!
