tried Green Bamboo

Tried Green Bamboo (Vietnamese, 100 Mott St.) last night, definitely worth a return visit. Grilled beef wrapped on rice cakes or something like that (#3 down in the House Specials)--nicely seasoned and grilled beef, plenty of crisp fresh lettuce and mint and herbs for wrapping, pickled vegetables with a nice crunch and zest, all a very large portion (plenty leftover for lunch today). Water spinach with garlic was simple, very garlicky but not greasy, not the freshest greens ever but still perfectly good. Very nice people running the place. Am looking forward to trying the soups or noodles next time, they could be quite good (lots of the 6 meats, tendons, etc.).
