Angelo's (86th st & 25 AV 718-372-3866 )has been my
favorite italian bakery for a long time, but never had the white chocolate mousse until today.
I always had the italian cheesecake - to me, it's better than Monteleone's (too sogy) or Alba (too sweet)- and old fashioned italian cookies, because these are just great!it's so good, so that I always forgot to try other things.
today, one of the nice young ladies who works there
just told me, she really likes the white choco mousse.
then I tried, and I was totally blown away.yes, she is right, it's really really good.
it's nothing fancy, just very simple looking - the white mousse is in a plastic cup -, but the sweetness is just right, has a depth of flavor and complexity.
this is not light&airly type of mousse, it's rich and creamy, definitely not light texture, bold taste as a mousse.
and...only $2.00! I just love this 44yrs old bakery.
