Uncle Louie G's. I've never been to the original location, but there's a new location just opened on the corner of Vanderbilt and Prospect Park (SW?). There was quite a line this past Tuesday night when I went. I only found the original one only at the online yellow pages. It's

But I can't find phone/info for the new one.>
I've had the ices before- they had it last year at the Cyclone's ball park. I had some at someone's house at a dinner party last year. I know the Nick & Joe's (I think that's the name) Pizza place on Court Street sells it out of the window, albeit lumpy and icey from improper care.
They offer about 50 incredible flavors of ices, and maybe another 40 of ice cream (I've never tried the ice cream). The texture (if you get it at their place, not others who buy it from them, where it could depend) is perfectly smooth. The taste is not artificial. My husband had coconut (with pieces inside) and strawberry- tasted like a good daquiri made from real stawberries without the alcohol. I had bizcocho bubble gum which was blue, delicious and chocked with bubble gum bits. Last year I had a very clear tasting lemon.
There is a fenced-off area with picnic benches to sit and enjoy outside the window. Traffic was double parked up the block. I can see lines around the block on a weekend day by Prospect Park.
Sorry, I can't find any website to reference the menu or history.
Happy warm weather!
