I tried the Great Wall Buffet in Pickering. It was okay. There was cold crab legs, sushi, soup, all the standard things. The shrimp are the already peeled variety, for cold shrimp I prefer them this way. I especially enjoyed the rice noodles and tobiko sushi. They were a little lacking in the dessert dept., just a few cakes, cream puffs, ice cream, jello and cookies. But no cream pie or crepes and waffles like at other placces. Obviously I didn't try everything, but I found the food fresh and tasty for the most part ( there was a surimi salad with celrey and mayo that I will not be eating again). The price on the weekend is still $17.99 (opening special I think).
I live pretty close to this place, so I will be back for sure. I don't think it would be worth the drive for someone in the west end though.
