I'm looking for tried and true truffle recipes that will make a good gift for BF's parents at Thanksgiving. According to him they should (sadly) be "nothing super fancy" which rules out a lot of Vosgue-style ideas. Still, I'd like to do something a little bit fun to dress them up. I've seen some recipes that let you make one big thing of a base, and then divide into batches and add flavorings, something like that would be great. Also, what are your flavoring suggestions beyond the kind of standard, peanut butter, mint, cognac, kirsch? Also (sorry for the many alsos!) something that could survive a 4 hour flight. Thanks!
