great Thai food found in Flushing

I hadn't been to the Flushing food court since some of the stands had changed. I wandered around there today a bit disappointed as it was late in the afternoon and many items were less than fresh and some stands were closed until dinner. I always assumed the Thai Express stand near the entryway was average fast-food quality Thai food but what I ate from there today was nothing short of incendiary deliciousness.

The standard menu items didn't seem that interesting but I noticed another customer ordering a plate of curry that looked incredible. I asked where it was on the menu but they said it was just the Panang beef that they had prepared for themselves for the day. The beef was tender and sauced in a deep-brown creamy sauce , with a smokey heat and a small stack of crisp green beans on the side. The owner finished it off with some coconut milk on top and added extra ground chili as per my request.

The owner and cook were over-the-top friendly and were so happy about my enjoying their food and my requests for extra heat that they introduced themselves and welcomed me to call ahead anytime and they'd prepare anything I wanted. This combined with the amazing soup upstairs confirms the food court as a major chow destination.
