I wasn't familiar with Wu Liang Ye when I went to choose a restaurant from which to order on seamlessweb Monday night, but chose it nonetheless based on its interesting looking menu. I have since learned from research on this board and elsewhere that Wu Liang Ye is a well known and very well respected mini chain (it has three locations in Manhattan) of authentic szechuan restaurants.
In any event, I ordered the double cooked streak pork with spicy capsicum, and specified "very spicy" in the comments box. They did not disappoint. The pork was succulent, sliced in thin strips and served with tasty capsicum peppers in a sweet and spicy sauce. The heat level was nice, but not over the top.
This may be my new favorite seamlessweb option. (BTW, speaking of seamlessweb, another favorite is Sala 19, but I've discovered that although their wonderful paella is not offered on the seamlessweb site, it can be ordered on line off of Sala 19's own website. I order it with the chorizo appetizer, which I mix into the paella. And I've been very pleased by how well the dish travels.)
