I have some dear old friends coming to Los Angeles next weekend (July 17-18). Specifically, downtown Los Angeles. We will be taking a walking tour (Union Station, City Hall, LA Times Building, etc.) and, since they are from Phoenix, they have expressed a desire for fresh seafood. For my part, I would like to walk them to a fish restaurant downtown that might make them say, "Gosh! Maybe Los Angeles is not the pestilential, mephitic hellhole that we have been led to believe!" Or words to that effect. (I know, I know, like people from Phoenix should talk...) And I don't think they would be comfortable in a place that is too cloth napkin-y. Suggestions? Thanks.
