Great "Restaurant week" lunch at Sono

Caitlin Wheeler | Jun 6, 200102:40 PM

I had lunch today at Sono on 57th between Lexington and Park and it was delicious. They had a $20.01 prix-fixe lunch special, which I ordered because it looked so delicious. I began with a salad with miso vinaigrette and asparagus, which was very tasty. The main course was a duck and spring pea risotto -- amazingly creamy, sweet green risotto with fava beans and a perfectly cooked, tender leg of duck. Really delicious and visually beautiful. Dessert was a chocolate creme brulee -- also wonderful and perfect-sized. I also ordered the shrimp potstickers which were very good, but not as interesting as the food on the prix-fixe menu. Service was very gracious and the space is lovely. On our way out, they offered us miniature black chai tea popsicles, a lovely little touch. Overall highly recommended.
