I can't believe I've lived her for 15 years and just found out about Omar's Carriage House!! It is this great out of the way spot that actually used to be a carriage house in the 1850's (at least that's what the back of the menu says). Dinner was amazing. I had their Crabcakes and my husband tried their potato encrusted fried Flounder. The owner is Moroccan so there were several items on the menu that were Moroccan (plus they have an additional Moroccan menu every Monday night with a $25 3-course menu...I'm coming back for that!!). Then came dessert. I don't know who this Miss Marilyn is but she makes fantastic desserts. We tried the bread pudding (no raisins) and it was outstanding. We're definately coming back if only to see the inside again. It looks like your grandmothers house updated. Loved the mismatched chair covers! It's amazing what you can find right around the corner :o)
