Great pork bun at Binh Minh Tofu @ San Jose

Han Lukito | Jan 11, 200407:24 PM

This is my regular store to buy those inexpensive tasty fried tofus that I posted before. The tofus were good as usual with a mix of a few threads of thin clear noodles and small pieces of black woodear mushrooms?. $1 for 7 pcs

But this time I was offered a large white bun with pork fillings. The bun was fluffy not dry like some other places. You can eat just the bun and would be pretty happy I guess. The fillings were excellent containing large amount of ground pork sprinkled with good amounts of peppers, a whole boiled egg, few slices of chinese sausages and probably a few other things. The pork mix fillings were moist and had a hint of green onion. Folks, this is outstanding stuff ! Another great find two days in a row for me. And the price, a HUGE $1.25. You can EASILY feed one large person with this and he/she wont be able to eat anything else after that. It is delicious and this will be a mainstay for me as long that store is open for business.

Their sweet sesame ball with red beans filling is also decent. 3 for $1.00.

I also bought a tofu skin roll with somekind of ground paste of pork or fake meat inside. Not bad although a but greasy IMO. Great with Thai sweet chiles sauce. $1.50 for 2 large ones.

This little store has lots of great items. They processed their own tofu as I saw a large waste of soy stuff, etc near the dumpster. It's a small factory with a storefront.

Store is located on Tully Rd, near the 101 Fwy (West side)
