I'm another food junkie heading to LA for a few days from a big little town that has few interesting pizza options. I'm looking for recomendations on So.Cal pies as well as more traditional Italian style. I'm a fan of the good 'ol slice and a beer in what I call rustic American dives as well as more esoteric, over the top examples served with equally esoteric, over the top wines. I'll be in Silverlake but will gladly make a trek for the food of the gods. I've got a bad jones on, please help.
