Great meal at Picket Fences

nyssa | Jul 8, 2004 03:28 PM

I had a delicious and extremely pleasant meal at Picket Fences on Cortelyou Rd. in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn. We had salmon and the hummus entrees both which were flavorful, nicely prepared and delicious. The salmon was slow roasted and served with radiccio and a potato pancake. The hummus platter was homemade white beans and served with snap peas and cumin roasted carrots along with some sesame crisps - a really refreshing meal. The menu has sandwiches, salads, soups, and a variety of entrees. The decor is simple and nice and the backyard, while a bit loud due to the tot lot next store, is pleasant. The chef was friendly, talking to all the guests and the rest of the staff were helpful and nice.
