A few weeks ago I posted about Dumont, a fairly new restaurant in Williamsburg. My wife and I went again on Friday night and had another excellent meal. My wife had a garden salad and a steak with fries, and I had a bowl of lentil soup and swordfish with sauteed chicory. Basic food with great flavor. The service was quick and friendly. Afterwards, we had a drink at BQE, a lounge above another new restaurant, called La Bonita. The atmosphere was dreamy, with lots of flickering candles and soft lighting. Seating was comfortable and spacious, and the cocktails were strong. The DJ took us down memory lane, with lots of 70s funk. The beer selection leaves much to be desired, though.
