Went to Delfino's in Roslindale on Saturday night. This was my first time there and I have to say it was excellent. Started with the littleneck clams appetizer, which were cooked perfect in a spinach, jalepeno pepper garlic butter sauce (i know jalepenos, it sounds weird but it gave it a real mellow kick). Then for the main course I went with the veal parm. Being raised italian with an incredible mother and grandmother cooking italian staples like this all the time i typically don't order this type of dish but I'm glad i did, it was great. tender and light and there was more veal than pasta on the plate. Other dishes my dining companions got were a citrus salmon and the steak. Both looked great and everyone was happy. Portions were good sizes and the prices were great. I think this is a great alternative to any restaurant in the north end.
