There's a lunch counter in the Library of Virginia (800 East Broad St.) that is excellent. Very simple menu - sandwiches, soup, daily pasta dish or two - but quality and taste are great. When you get a sandwich you choose the type (roast beef and havarti or turkey and provolone are my favs), the bread, and the sauce (the garlic mayo is out of this world!) Their soups are really good too - tomato parmesean is a recurring favorite of mine. Everything is really fresh and the price is right - $5 for 1/2 sandwich, soup and small drink. Has anyone else ever tried this place?
