Great Jarred Pasta Sauce (Mostly Red) Available & On sale in Bergen County, NJ (Maybe other places, too...read below)

Last year, I inadvertently ran into two "to die for" jarred pasta sauces, expensive and not easily available. They were Cucina Antica (Pumpkin-based sauce) and Silver Palate (tomato garlic & tomato mixed veggie - sweet & sassy.) My A & P dug them up in their last few days of business. This month I have found both with good sale prices widely available at mass market grocers. Fairway in Paramus has had about six varieties of Cucina Antica (made in Mount Kisco, N.Y.); the varieties are tomato basil, tomato garlic, straight marinara, pumpkin based sauce with tomato, tomato spinach, puttanesca, and arrabiata. They are $5 each for 25-oz jars (vs. $8 each regular price.) The sale goes on thru 3/31/16. I have also seen them for the same price, but only select varieties at some - but not all - Stop & Shops, some Foodtowns. I have seen them at King's for $5.99 each.
The Silver Palate marinara, low-salt marinara, tomato basil, tomato vodka, arrabiata and tomato romano are at ShopRites, Stop & Shops, Foodtowns & King's -- all for $4.99 until 6/30/16. Vodka & romano are less available than the others. I have not seen Sweet & Sassy or Garlic. Silver Palate is a Cresskill-based company, but I have not seen or heard of a storefront; I believe they do mail order for about $7 plus shipping for each jar. I am not trying to sell this stuff - you can check out the quality & high prices on Amazon or order it from the companies directly, also at the higher prices. I have used the word tomato here often as a substitute for marinara - please excuse. I certainly understand if you would rather make your own, but this stuff is way better than Ragu, Prego, Classico, etc.
